The golden octagon did little more than hurt our eyes at UFC 200…

Production

OK, so heading in to UFC 200 we assumed that the production and appearance of the event would take us in to the new age of MMA. Unfortunately there were only a few tweaks to the product that’s been around for years now.

The bright gold octagon was distracting and somewhat pointless, but also the viewing problems in Australia were highly frustrating for fans who’d paid to watch. After a minute of the main event, the live stream on Foxtel cut out until after the fight’s finish.

Not a good look for the ‘biggest’ card in UFC history.
