Left Hand Equalizer
Take everything away from McGregor and leave only his left hand, and we still have ourselves a world-class fighter. McGregor’s left hand is an equalizer. When everything else is going completely wrong, McGregor’s powerful left always finds a way to shine through.
Many opponents have tried to withstand its vaunted power, and many have failed. It’s truly McGregor’s “moneymaker” as he likes to call it. Against Alvarez a week ago, McGregor practically flashed that left hand and Alvarez even saw it coming. It didn’t matter. The left hand landed anyway.
Yes McGregor has great spinning wheel kicks. He has awesome uppercuts and solid combinations. He has punishing elbows in the clinch. But that left hand is just special. McGregor’s left hand can knock anybody out from featherweight to welterweight and it’s amazing.
Without his left hand, he just simply would not be who he is today. If he hit Mayweather with that left, there is no doubt it will be lights out for the boxing legend. Furthermore, Mayweather has had trouble with southpaws in the past and McGregor is the ultimate left hand finisher.
