Cris Cyborg continues her assault on Holly Holm, this time trying to shame Greg Jackson's MMA and Jon Jones, among others...
The women’s featherweight division is…complicated

The UFC women’s featherweight division has had a rocky start to its existence. First Germaine de Randamie won the inaugural championship only to announce plans to drop back down to bantamweight and that she had no plans to ever face the consensus top woman in the world at 145lbs.

Then Cyborg beat an entirely out-matched Tonya Evinger to win the title Germaine de Randamie had no interest in. Not exactly off to a flying start. Now Cyborg and Holly Holm are rumored to be the next bout, and things are getting a little testy between their two camps.

Cyborg Unhappy With USADA’s Testing

Cyborg recently expressed unhappiness with the amount she is being tested by USADA. She also insinuated she doesn’t believe her pending upcoming opponent is being tested as frequently.

Jackson-Wink History of Steroid Failures

Cyborg claims no other MMA gym has had more drug test failures than Jackson-Wink. Unfortunately, while there are a few gyms with a worse reputation for PEDs, the Alburqurque based camp has had their fair share of positive tests.

Jon Jones, Frank Mir, and Diego Brandao have all failed tests while training out of Jackson-Wink. A point in the camp’s favor, however, is that Alistair Overeem has not failed any drug tests since signing on with Jackson. Few felt Overeem would be competitive in the USADA era, but that is proving to have been a falsely held belief.

Holly Holm Responds to Cyborg

Holly Holm didn’t have to think hard about how to respond to Cyborg. The former women’s bantamweight champion has actually been tested more times by USADA than Cyborg has. It should also be pointed out that Holm has never failed a drug test whereas Cyborg did in 2011. Steroid accusations have plagued Cyborg throughout her career.

In a recent Instagram post, Holm points out that USADA’s testing records are public and anyone from her camp would have been able to research this.

I’ve actually just wasted a minute of my life on this video.

“So apparently there was a little bit of drama today because USADA went to Cyborg’s house and I know I’ve been the topic of interest a lot on her social media and I don’t mind fighters trying to promote fights, that’s fine, but let’s be real for a minute.

“She said she’s been tested by USADA and wants to be tested just as much, and she probably should have looked on their public records on the USADA web page and seen I’ve been tested nine times compared to her eight. I’m in no race, I really don’t care, I just know I compete clean and they test me all the time. So, I just never needed an applause for passing my tests.
