Long time MMA fans know how entertaining Diego Sanchez was in his prime. He started his UFC run by joining the first ever Ultimate Fighter Series and he ended up winning the whole tournament.
During his rise, many projected him to eventually become a UFC champion, but sadly he failed to capture it. He went to as far as fighting for the title against B.J. Penn but fell short. Either way, Diego Sanchez was always known to give a show for the MMA fans, his fights are usually fireworks.

Now his career has gone downhill and it is sad to see his current situation. When you watch his last few fights, he has shown signs of brain damage, it is probably from the damages accumulated throughout his career.
Many of his former teammates and UFC fighters are calling him out showing concern for his health. When he got a new trainer, Joshua Fabia who many assume is a toxic to his livelihood, that is also where his career went downhill.
For those who do not know who Fabia is, he is the trainer of Diego Sanchez who has no combat sport experience and has a different approach to the game. Many think he is just a fraud posing to be a great coach and he is just there to take advantage of Sanchez.
Now that the UFC released Sanchez, it is sad to see his future going downhill considering how much he sacrificed for the sport especially in the early days where the UFC was not even a world class organization.
