Rogan recently made headlines when he stated on the podcast that he is not sure if he will be renewing his contract with the UFC this coming August. The Comedian has talked about how he loves commentating fights, but also loves taking chances and venturing into the unknown.
Rogan would be a difficult presence to replace, as the two other color commentators who work for the UFC, Kenny Florian and Brian Stann, are excellent analysts but may lack the charisma that Rogan brings to the mic when calling fights.
Regardless of whether or not he will continue to commentate for the UFC, he does see himself doing more Fight Companion Podcasts. Fight Companion is a special podcast that Rogan does alongside his friends, usually Bryan Callen and Brendan Schaub from The Fighter and The Kid, and 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu creator Eddie Bravo. The podcasts stream live while the group watches UFC fights.
