Mark Hunt is not a happy man…
The UFC heavyweight division saw an interesting twist this year. Think back to UFC 199 on April 23, the night that Brock Lesnar’s UFC return was announced. The former UFC heavyweight champion was set to come back at UFC 200 and fans were going nuts.
Although he’d ended his first run as a fighter on a couple of losses, ‘The Beast’ was still a huge draw. What made his return even more enticing was that he’d face one-punch knockout artist Mark Hunt on July 9.
A ridiculously ripped version of Lesnar showed up at the UFC 200 weigh-ins. Far bigger and with a lot more tone than seven years ago at UFC 100, it appeared that the WWE superstar was taking this fight very seriously.
Unfortunately it now seems like he took it a little too far, as the news broke last night about Lesnar’s failed drug test. USADA (United States Anti Doping Agency) had struck again. Just nine days after announcing Jon Jones had failed a dope screen it was Lesnar’s turn.
So a failed drug test that was conducted on June 28 is the reason for all this drama. Mark Hunt has faced an opponent on steroids for the third time now, and he’s seriously unhappy about this.
Initially ‘The Super Samoan’ asked for half of Lesnar’s $2.5 million purse, but now he’s taken it even further…
