The worlds of Boxing and MMA have been turned upside down in recent weeks with talk of a Super Fight between arguably the greatest boxer of all time and recently retired Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and MMA King Conor McGregor. We take a look at why the fight makes total sense for ‘Money’ Mayweather.

While the fight has been dismissed as tabloid rubbish by many, if not most, it appears as though, both parties are keen on the fight. When the speculation initially begun, the notion was sneered at by everyone from the MMA world.

As the story grew legs even Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Conor McGregor got involved sending cryptic messages, suggesting the fight was very much a part of their plans. It obviously makes sense for McGregor to have this speculation being trashed about right in the middle of his dispute with the UFC, clearly outlining the ‘Notorious’ ones power.

One has to ask, why this fight makes sense for Mayweather though, besides a few obvious things, such as money, a perceived easy opponent for his 50th fight and of course the ability to rub Dana White’s nose in it. The pair have had no love lost since Dana worked with Floyd and his team in the early days. There is another reason though, which has been missed.
