Reports have been emerging, speculating that there is a bidding war taking place between four parties, to buy the UFC. While UFC President and part-owner Dana White dismissed the speculation out of hand, it appears as though the sale could be announced as soon as July.

The UFC released figures from last year, stating that the company made in the region of $600 million. This move initially was seen as an assertion of the promotions dominance in the MMA World but the talk of a sale, could mean that the announcement may have served as a very subtle for sale sign. As a private company the UFC does not have to release any figures, so announcing their takings for the year seemed to be a strange move.

The four parties involved according to MMA Fighting are WME/IMG, China Media Capital, The Blackstone Group and Dalian Wanda Group. It appears as though the Dalian Wanda Group are the front runners with a bid believed to be in the region of $3.5-4 Billion and a deal could be done as soon as July. An amazing return for the Fertitas considering they bought the company for $2 million in 2001.

Are the Fertitas willing to sell though? Considering their most recent acquisition, it seems like they are. Click below to find out more.
