The promotional hype-machine is in overdrive for UFC 202’s headliner, the highly anticipated rematch between “The Notorious” Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz of the 209. While McGregor had already appeared on Conan a few months ago to promote their first encounter, it was Diaz’ turn to put in the promotional effort for the bout.
Suffice to say, things got a little awkward when Conan played a video of a pre-recorded message McGregor had for Diaz.
In the short clip, McGregor looked directly into the camera and gave a shout out to Conan before moving on to diss Diaz, making fun of his “stupid black T-shirt” that McGregor claims Diaz is “never out of.”
“The boy has been wearing that same damn T-Shirt for the past 20 years or something,” quipped McGregor.
McGregor also took the time to make fun of Diaz’ physique.
Diaz visibly irked and seemingly wanting to just get in the cage and do business, quipped with a cold-blooded response that drew cheers from the audience.
