Renato Moicano chose to be spontaneous in his post-fight interview after winning at UFC Fight Night 235 this weekend. Instead of talking about his victory and future fights, the Brazilian shared his personal plans, including having his next baby, getting his green card, and becoming a police to “fix” America.
Moicano defeated Drew Dober via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) in the co-main event match at UFC Fight Night 235. The bout between the two was full of action, but Moicano stood out. Even in the first round, Moicano ended the segment by being the dominant and striking the opponent a few more times before the bell was sounded.
In the second round, both fighters made takedowns. In the process, their heads clashed, leading to a cut on Moicano, but this did not prevent him from being aggressive. In the third round, the two traded punches, and Moicano managed to deliver a takedown. In his top position, the fighter sent heavy punches to Dober while he was still bleeding from the cut. In the latter part of the round, Moicano continued delivering more punches until the bell rang, and he was announced the winner via decision.
After this, Daniel Cormier stepped into the cage for an interview, and Moicano didn’t hesitate to share his thoughts. However, instead of his win and plan for his next outing or callouts, the fighter instead shared his personal plans. In the interview, the 34-year-old shared that his 62-year-old father had a baby prior to the fight and said that it would be the exact thing he and his wife would do the day he comes back to Brazil.
Aside from this, Moicano revealed applying for a green card to be an American citizen. The fighter further shared that the ultimate plan is to join the police force and SWAT team after his MMA retirement. According to him, the US has an issue due to crimes, and this is something he would like to “f***ing fix right now.”
In the end, although he didn’t call out any fighter in the UFC roster or specify his next outing timeline, Moicano lambasted The MMA Guru YouTube channel, which downplayed his ability due to his two-year absence in the cage.
“Hey, MMA Guru, you are f***ing pig,” said Moicano. “You say I would get slapped by Drew Dober [since I was] almost two years without fighting, and I schooled this motherf***er.”
