Warning: Graphic… Luke Rockhold’s Nasty Leg Wound is All Tubed Up…
It’s safe to say that it’s going to be a while until we see former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold back in action. The Californian is out with an absolutely disgusting leg injury, that he suffered fighting Yoel Romero back in February.
Of course, to add insult to injury, Rockhold was brutally knocked out by the ‘Soldier of God’ that same night. Rockhold had the opportunity to claim the interim middleweight championship at UFC 221, but ultimately nobody won that belt, as Romero came in overweight. He went on to face champion, Robert Whittaker, last weekend, narrowly losing.
Rockhold decided to share with the world an update of his gruesome wound. Whatever doctor is responsible for ‘fixing’ this needs a talking to. Clearly, they’ve been watching too many sci-fi movies. It looks creepy and disgusting. Scroll down for the full image.

Nasty
You were warned. Legs should not have tubes coming out of them. Maybe Nick Diaz should get in touch with Rockhold because his elbow has been oozing pus for the last couple of weeks. MMA isn’t all fun and games folks. At least getting knocked out is clean. Nobody talks about all these disgusting body fluids. For good reason too.
Rockhold’s career is in a pretty weird place right now. He’s run into a brick wall in the middleweight division. After losing his title to Michael Bisping, he went on hiatus, before beating David Branch in his comeback fight. However, he’s now been knocked out in 2 of his last 3 and was rocked by Branch. That chin is not looking good right now.
To make matters more interesting for him, he’s been linked to a fight against Alexander Gustafsson at light-heavyweight. That could be inspired or suicidal because the Swede is one of the best strikers in MMA and has superb movement. However, the step up in weight might sort out Rockhold’s endurance problems and keep him stronger. It’s hard to know.

Could be Worse
It could be worse for Rockhold though. At least his face isn’t oozing blood and indescribable gunk. That would not be ideal for the face and body of Ralph Lauren underwear. He’s constantly posting pictures of himself in trunks just to remind us all.
He could look like poor Alistair Overeem did after meeting Curtis Blaydes. The pair clashed in a heavyweight prelim fight at the weekend. The Dutchman got absolutely ‘reemed’, with Blaydes laying him out with some of the most violent elbows you will ever see. Blaydes’s elbows were like blades, slicing his face open. Not a pretty site at all. Below you can see a wondrous artistic impression of this horrifying incident. Credit to @HatClub.

Never Ending
In this dog-eat-dog world of combat sports, there’s always a new way of getting injured, that’s even more disgusting. Rockhold claims that he’ll be out of action for around three months. It could be Christmas by the time he finally returns. Let’s hope he does get back soon and is un-tubed.
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the wonderful world of MMA
