Ronda Rousey let reporters know recently she’s not out of the fight game just yet…
Even though Ronda Rousey has shied away from the media spotlight in recent years, that isn’t to say she isn’t busy working on projects important to her.
Speculation is that Ronda has already reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. While it seems she is ready to start her pro-wrestling career, Ronda recently told reporters she is not out of the fight game just yet.
Ronda Rousey to WWE Rumors
Ronda made two WWE appearances during the company’s inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament this summer. Her longtime training partner, Shayna Baszler, made it to the final match of the tournament, losing to Kairi Sane. Ronda was shown on camera several times cheering on Baszler along with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.
Ronda is a longtime WWE fan and has previously appeared at WrestleMania 31 along with Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson. Both Ronda and Johnson were promoting the Expendables movie during at the time.
Is Ronda Retired From MMA?
Rumors that Ronda is about to become a professional wrestler will not be welcome by those who want to see her fight again. There were rumors earlier this year stating WME-IMG were putting pressure on Rousey’s camp for a return fight sometime this year. It appears little came of that pressure, however.
WME-IMG was said to have been hoping a big Ronda Rousey fight would be able to boost the promotion’s abysmal 2017 PPV numbers. Evidently, Ronda never agreed to fight though she’s never officially retired either.
Ronda might be holding off her MMA retirement announcement in order to give it at the same time she announces her signing with WWE. The strategy behind this would be: Why waste a big media opportunity if you don’t have something else to promote?

Ronda Rousey Still in the Fight Game… as an Executive Producer
“Why we fight is a docuseries following one fighter that has used fighting to progress himself through his life, make himself better as a person, and kind of inspired him to go see why other people do the same thing.
It’s not a normal profession or thing to do and there is always something that drives you towards it.
Everyone always has their own story and so it’s just about finding what those stories are”. Ronda Rousey on her new docu-series “Why We Fight”
The fighter the documentary series follows is Zac “Kid Yamaka” Wohlman. The 29-year-old boxer has been training with Freddy Roach since 2008.
The 8-Part series is airing on the Go90s channel. A spokesperson for the channel had this to say regarding the series.
“‘Why We Fight’ epitomizes Go90’s vision of providing fans with content from exceptional producers that they can connect with on an emotional level, all while bringing them deeper inside the world of their favorite sports,” said Go90’s chief content officer Ivana Kirkbride.
Ronda will be serving as Executive Director for the docu-series. Should this project prove to be successful we might see more of them from Ronda in the future.
Oh come on, tell your bullshit to someone who believes it!
