4.(tied) Holly Holm (+525) Upsets Ronda Rousey UFC 193
Did you think this fight would be ranked higher? Closing odds only have it tied for the fourth biggest upset in a championship fight. There must have been some late money on Holm, because she was as much as a +825 underdog in the week before the fight. Kind of makes you wonder what those last minute gamblers knew that the general public didn’t.
Perhaps it was Ronda’s mother openly complaining about her coach in the build-up to the fight that tipped some off that Ronda was not going in with the smartest strategy. Maybe there was something about the weigh-ins that led others to believe it might be the beginning of the end for Ronda.
Regardless of the reasons, quite a few gamblers put in last minute bets on Holm.
