4. Emerging Bellator Fighters

When Scott Coker first took over Bellator, it looked as though he was going to destroy it. He started by claiming that MMA had turned away the casual fan, and sought to bring back legendary names to entice those lapsed fans back.

Unfortunately many of those names were well-passed their prime, or were never any good to begin with. Ken Shamrock, Royce Gracie, and Kimbo Slice were the main names that were set to represent the company. After some truly embarrassing fights however, the company seems to have abandoned this practice.

Now Bellator has a slew of top-tier fighters such as Rory MacDonald, joining the ranks of marketable fighters with big-names like Chael Sonnen, Tito Ortiz and Wanderlei Silva.

They also have exciting prospects like Michael “Venom” Page, that are starting to make a name for themselves as well.

A few of Bellator’s divisions might start to feel on-par with the UFC’s corresponding weight-class in 2017, if that hasn’t happened already.

  1. I don’t agree I think 2017 is wen we will see what they plan for the future an the way the ufc is putting their events in as many different countries as they are I can see the idea of maybe agreeing with u on the too many different champs an as a way of countering that I see them after establishing all the top fighters from all the globes corners an having a once yearly super tournament where whicheva country chosen to hold it an all the best come together to compete against the best of each other so there will be the one true champion of his weight division, atm they seem to be going around signing a range of different fighters but in fairness they all seem to be the top few guys/ladies from each fighters region

  2. The Ali Act would be AMAZING! But the UFC will be piiiiiiiissed, it will mess them up, they never really worked with merits, if the Ali act had been around for a while, McGregor wouldn’t have gotten a title fight, Ronda would never have held a belt, Sonnen would never get big fights…
