1. Francis Ngannou

Francis Ngannou debuted in the UFC 503 days ago. He might only be 1-2 wins away from a title shot. His ascension to the very top of the division so quickly is both a testament to him and a comment on how shallow the weight class is.

While it’s hard to call someone already ranked #5 in his division a prospect, Ngannou is still very young in his MMA training and career. He only took up the sport 4 years ago.

Ngannou has finished all 5 of his UFC opponents so far. His most recent victory was a 1st round KO of Andrei Arlovski in January. He most recently announced that he has moved to Las Vegas and will be training there full-time. Still no word on which team he will be with however. Previously, Ngannou trained in France with the MMA Factory.
