1. Miocic vs Werdum (May 14th 2016- UFC 198)

Before LeBron James brought an NBA Championship to the city of Cleveland, native son Stipe Miocic defeated Fabricio Werdum to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

By doing so he earned the chance to defend the title in his home city at UFC 203 against Alistair Overeem.  Many feel that Miocic is in over his head at UFC 203, considering how well Overeem has responded to training with Greg Jackson, but it wouldn’t be the first time Miocic had silenced critics.

When Miocic defeated Werdum at UFC 198 it silenced the rowdy crowd in Brazil, as this was supposed to be Werdum’s homecoming as Champion.  Miocic will get the chance to do what Werdum couldn’t in his home city of Cleveland on September 10th.
