UFC Flyweight Champion, Deiveson Figueiredo will face #1 Ranked flyweight, Brandon Moreno. This will be the only title fight in the card and will be the main event. Both fighters just fought at UFC 255 and will only have a month of recovery time. Figueiredo will possibly be the first UFC Champion to defend his title on a back to back PPV event.
Eyes already on his next target.

Figueiredo had already planned of facing Moreno after his fight. Both fighters had cruised to an easy win with no injuries that need recovery time. UFC 256 will be the last UFC PPV card for the year 2020. Luckily both flyweights stepped up or else there will be no title fight in a PPV card.
If Yan vs Sterling had not been canceled, it would have been a stacked card since two title fights with a decent main card fights as preliminary. Figueiredo has also interests in moving up to bantamweight after he defends his title 5 times and cleaning out the division.
After @arielhelwani reports the bout of Figueiredo vs Moreno on UFC 256, we find some information about why so fast.
Per @VestnikMMA – Yan vs Sterling is OFF.
Reasons are undisclosed yet but rumors appointed injury or Visa Issues by Yan. https://t.co/sV29LdyaxE

The flyweight and bantamweight divisions were both vacated by Henry Cejudo. Yan and Figueiredo won the vacant belt. Cejudo has announced his retirement but has said that he is willing to return for the price and opponent. If a fight with Volkanosvki is offered, Cejudo said he will return to have a chance to be the first-ever 3 weight division champion.
Even if the PPV card has only one title fight, it still has a talent stacked fighting card. Tony Ferguson vs Charles Oliveira is the potential co-main event. It will decide who will be the next title contender. With McGregor vs Poirier booked, it may come down that both winners of the bout will fight for the belt if Khabib does not return.
Tony Ferguson (@TonyFergusonXT) will face Charles Oliveira (@CharlesDoBronxs) at UFC 256 on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, per Dana White (@danawhite). Ferguson gets his wish to fight again before the end of 2020. Huge addition to that Dec. 12 event.

Tony Ferguson vs Charles Oliveira is a guaranteed good fight. Both have a fan-friendly style of fighting standing up and on the ground. It will be Oliveiras’s toughest opponent and most important for his career as it will potentially elevate him to title contention.
Rising heavyweight prospect, Ciryl Gane will face his toughest test against Junior Dos Santos. Dos Santos is a former HW champion, so it will be the biggest name Gane will face. It is a long layoff for Gane since his last fight was December of 2019.

BIGGEST FIGHT OF MY CAREER.

Gane only has 6 fights in his MMA Pro Career but he has shown promises in the striking department with good fundamentals. Dos Santos is a boxing oriented MMA fighter so it would be an entertaining fight stylistically.
Middleweight legend, Jacare Souza will also fight Marvin Vettori. Souza might possibly be the most accomplished BJJ Practitioner in the UFC right now is in the latter of his career. He will prove yet again that he still belongs in the division. Vettori is going in as an underdog with a low-risk high reward fight.
Vettori was linked to a rematch with Omari Akhmedov but Souza was announced by the UFC. Vettori has fought the current champion, Israel Adesanya, and lost by a split decision.
The last fight in the main card might be Featherweight veteran Cub Swanson against Daniel Pineda. Swanson has been in the featherweight for so long, since the Aldo Era. He still proves that he belongs in the top 10 contenders but sadly never won the title. He always comes to fight. Pineda is coming in on an impressive win against Herbert Burns.
It will be an interesting fight to see if Pineda is the real deal or Swanson still has it in him to make a title run once more. Swanson only had one title shot eliminator and it ended in only 8 secs. Swanson’s career never had one title shot but people still respect his skill as a veteran of the sport.
