10. Donald Cerrone: 6 T(KO)s In 33 UFC Fights
Cerrone is currently tied for having the most fights in UFC history (33). But keeping such a grueling fight schedule takes a toll on even the hardiest of competitors. To be fair, in his first four years in the UFC, ‘Cowboy’ was only stopped once in 18 fights by strikes. Anthony Pettis TKO’d him with a perfectly placed body kick in 2013.
In December of 2015, Cerrone finally earned a title shot against Rafael dos Anjos, only to be TKO’d in 66 seconds. Cerrone moved to welterweight and won four fights in the following year. But in 2017, the cracks began to show, starting with a second-round TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal. A fight with rising talent Darren Till also saw him sink to the canvas under a barrage of blows.
Cerrone didn’t take that as a signal to slow down though. H’s now aiming to fight for the fifth time in 2019 despite suffering two of his biggest beatings to date. He lost against Tony Ferguson (who fractured his orbital bone) and Justin Gaethje.
“They gotta stop him from fighting this frequently,” respected coach Ray Longo said recently. “Bro, I used to love listening to him, it’s starting to sound crazy to me now.”
