Eddie Wineland vs. Ken Stone

UFC fighter Eddie Wineland is best known for his striking skills, but in his final fight in the WEC promotion back in 2010 he used the debuting Ken Stone to showcase another method of relieving an opponent of their senses.

Midway through the second round, Stone jumped up onto Winelan working a guillotine choke, with the body triangle locked in to keep himself securely in place.

It was a nice idea, but Wineland had other plans and after placing him up against the cage he positioned his arms so they were under Stone’s chin and then suddenly leapt into the air with his opponent still attached and came down with his full-weight slamming onto him.

As you might expect, the resulting blow to the back of the head as the mat came to greet him knocked Stone senseless and extended Wineland’s winning run to four fights as he prepared to join the UFC.
