No.7: Cody Garbrandt vs. TJ Dillashaw
As former teammates who now have a bitter rivalrly, Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw were literally at each others throats during their stint as opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter reality show.
Though they were scheduled to fight just a few months later, the animosity between them reached boiling point as Garbrandt accused Dillashaw of being ‘fake’ during filming.
As they argued back and forth Garbrandt suddenly lashed out, grabbing his rival by the throat and shoving him backwards.
Other cast members then looked to intervene just in time as Dillashaw attempted to lunge back at Garbrandt.
“He stepped towards me in my bubble, in my personal space, so I latched him up like an eagle latching up a snake,” was Garbrandt’s unique perspective on the scuffle.
The incident only further escalated the tension between the two rivals, which would eventually lead to two sanctioned fights in the Octagon, both of which Dillashaw won by TKO.
