YES Walk-in
Sanchez’s belief in postitive thinking was taken to a whole new level when he marched into the walk-in for his UFC 95 fight with Joe ‘Daddy’ Stevenson repeatedly thrusting his clenched fist in the air while shouting “YES!” as loud as he could, and by the time he made his way into the Octagon the crowd were joining in too.
One man who watched Sanchez’s chant with great interest was WWE superstar and MMA fan Daniel Bryan, who has since admitted to borrowing the catchphrase and taking it to a whole new audience when he started enthusiastically mimicking it while he was a champion in the pro-wrestling organization.
Though Bryan and the WWE cashed in on the chant’s popularity, Sanchez didn’t take offense at him stealing his thunder and has since pointed out that it really originates from self-help guru Tony Robbins.
