17. Yair Rodriguez vs. The Korean Zombie
What a fitting conclusion to the UFC’s 25th-anniversary show in Denver this proved to be. The fight offered an intense war with an instant classic finish. The action was highly competitive throughout, with Rodriguez showing off his flashy-but-effective striking arsenal. TKZ continually pressed forward with heavy offensive salvos, leaving both fighters bloodied long before the bout’s conclusion. True to form, Jung still took time out to smile and embrace amid the carnage in the final round.
The finish just a couple of minutes later blew people’s minds. The Korean Zombie launched into one last flurry of punches only for Rodriguez to duck under. He threw an epic, no-look upwards elbow that connected perfectly and sent TKZ face-first to the mat unconscious just one second before the final bell.
