“The Cobra” of Dagestan, Marat Gafurov caught ONE Championship’s attention with his incredible work as featherweight champion of M1-Global. He’s undefeated at 14-0 and rarely ever challenged, defeating the biggest names in Asia including Malaysia’s Ev Ting, as well as Australians Martin Nguyen and Rob Lisita.
He went life-and-death with former champion Narantungalag Jadambaa of Mongolia, and needed just two rounds to ace Japanese veteran Kazunori Yokota in his last fight.
Gafurov is ONE Championship’s featherweight world champion and has five straight submission victories so far since making his debut for the promotion in 2014.
