If you haven’t head about Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone’s eight-fight win streak in the UFC’s lightweight division, you’ve probably had your head buried in quicksand.
As easily the hottest contender we’ve seen in a while, the bull-riding knockout artist has dismantled some of the very best names on the 155-pound roster to earn his chance at gold when he takes on champion Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on Fox 17 this December.
Cerrone’s five finishes spanning just over two years is downright incredible. But the fact that he has been mixing knockouts with submission like they were peanut butter and jelly is the reason why he’s never looked more complete.
His willingness to fight upon request has certainly made him a household name during his current win streak, but now it could make him a UFC world champion.
