4. Rory Macdonald vs Carlos Condit UFC 115 (7 seconds left)

Rory MacDonald’s 2nd ever fight in the UFC was at UFC 115 in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. It was the first time the UFC had ever been to the city.

While now training in Montreal with Tristar, Rory MacDonald grew up just outside of Vancouver, and was the highest Canadian fighter on the card, despite only being 21 years old at the time. The UFC didn’t do him any favours for his 2nd bout in the promotion however; they put him in there against Carlos Condit.

Condit had gone 1-1 in the UFC at that point, but had been the WEC welterweight champion and defended the title 3x. Despite the experience advantage for Condit, MacDonald controlled the first two rounds. But the tide turned in the 3rd round when Condit was clearly looking to finish and MacDonald just wanted to survive.

With 7 seconds left until Rory MacDonald would be handed a decision victory, Condit knocked him out and moved himself closer to a title shot. MacDonald asked for a rematch, but it looks like the odds of that ever happening now are very slim.
