1. Conor Mcgregor vs. Nate Diaz III
UFC 196 broke PPV revenue records, surpassing UFC 100 in terms of gross revenue generated. It was amazing considering that the main event was a late-replacement fight to make up for the canceled lightweight championship bout between Conor and Raphael Dos Anjos.
The pre-fight press conference where Nate became the first fighter to ever get the verbal better of Conor drew so much fan interest that it turned both guys into the biggest stars in the sport.
Then UFC 202 surpassed the records UFC 196 set (though unofficial at this time). These two guys, with no titles at stake, are a money-printing machine for the UFC. They could even do a 4th or 5th bout in this series and most fans would keep spending money to see it. Just give us a Conor vs. Nate fight every year for the next ten years; that would be just fine by a lot of people.
