2. Nick Diaz and Joe Riggs at the Hospital- UFC 57
After UFC 57, nothing was settled between Nick Diaz and Joe Riggs.
There are different accounts of what actually happened this night in 2006, and the truth probably lay somewhere in between. Both sides agree that the fight started when the two found themselves waiting in the same room at the hospital after their fight (unanimous decision victory for Riggs). Smack was talked and Riggs mentioned that Diaz would probably get cut because he had lost 2 in a row, which was generally enough to get you cut back then. According to Riggs, Diaz jumped him after he said this, but according to Diaz it was Riggs who hit first.
Everyone agrees that these two guys brawled all around this hospital room. Other reports have the fight having to be broken up by cops, and both Tim Sylvia and Frank Mir just sitting back and watching the whole thing play out. Nice of the heavyweights to get involved.
