Anyone that’s ever grown up with siblings, has kids or watched the Step Brothers movie will know that brothers will be brothers. Fighting, arguing, bickering and causing general mayhem is the usual tale in a house with boys growing up.

Sibling rivalries are not completely unheard of in the combat sports world either. You may not have heard but crime fighting superhero and MMA fighter Phoenix Jones will be fighting against his brother soon in the World Series Of Fighting.

It’s indeed rare for brothers to fight against each other professionally, sparring is a different story though. Many famous boxing brothers such as the Klitschkos, Jerry and Mike Quarry and the Finnegans have reportedly been involved in brutal gym wars.

Looking at MMA, the Nogueira brothers and the Rua brothers, Mauricioand Murilo, were involved in countless sparring sessions that ended badly. The subject today is Joe Lauzon, a veteran UFC lightweight with 20 fight for the promotion.

Lauzon is known fo being one of the most entertaining fighters on the UFC roster. During his 10 year stint under the UFC banner, Lauzon has scored an astounding 13 fight night bonuses. This equates to over $700,000 USD broken down in to six fight of the night, six submission of the night and one knockout of the night award.
