The NSAC has suspended Niko Price for testing positive for marijuana. His last fight with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was originally ruled as majority draw is now changed to No Contest.
The Nevada commission has suspended UFC’s Niko Price six months and fined him $8,500 for a positive marijuana test. His draw against Donald Cerrone in September will now be a no contest.

Even though the fight was a majority decision, it was still a fun fight to watch. Niko Price is such an entertaining fighter due to his unorthodox style of fighting. He may not be the best in fighting but he always brings a highlight reel win or lose.
It is such a shame that the NSAC just suspended him after a little over 2 months. Marijuana may be on the banned list but it may not really be considered a performance-enhancing drug. Another big name who tested positive for marijuana was Nick Diaz and he was suspended as well.
The NSAC fined $8,500 which is big for names like Niko Price. He said in his post-fight interview that he fights to put food for his family and to fine him for something as small as marijuana is sad to hear. Let’s hope Price the best after this sad news.
