Looks like it’s not only Nate Diaz who’s getting tired of Conor McGregor’s trash talk…
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has always been a great trash talker, but only recently has it been broadcast on the main stage. He used a lot of banter in his early UFC days, but it wasn’t until UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin that people really started to listen.
He beat Diego Brandao in front of a packed arena that night, filled with Irish flags and crazed fans. Many UFC fighters and employees present described the atmosphere that night as the most electric of any event. This is unheard of when talking about non-PPV cards.
So the McGregor show was born, and along with his brutal knockouts in the octagon, it carried him all the way to a featherweight title fight with Jose Aldo. ‘The Notorious’ fulfilled his prediction, making light work of ‘Scarface’ with a 13 second one-punch knockout.
The win made McGregor so much of a superstar that his every word became front page news. His mere use of Twitter was suddenly headline making content, and his popularity is not limited to the realms of MMA media.
But more recently, following his UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz, McGregor has been making headlines for ‘opting out’ of UFC 200. UFC president Dana White has thrown his Irish star under the bus to an extent, and now McGregor is appealing for his part at UFC 200 to be restored.
His Twitter rant today was so unreal, and now Nate Diaz and some other well known faces have reacted…
