A massive middleweight fight as the UFC is targeting an event in London. Not official yet due to strict pandemic restrictions but what better fighter to headline a London card than their own native, Darren Till.

Darren Till has not fought since his loss to Robert Whittaker back in 2020 July. Although he was scheduled to face Marvin Vettori, he pulled out due to an injury. Now he is set to get back on the winning column but he is not fighting an easy opponent. He is scheduled to face Derek Brunson, a good wrestler with unorthodox striking.

Till is known for his great fundamentals in striking that even current champion, Israel Adesanya wants to fight against. Adesanya’s team has said that they wanted to fight Till had he won against Robert Whittaker, just shows how high level Till’s striking is.

Meanwhile, Brunson is riding a four fight win streak, beating a lot of hype trains. Brunson was known as a gate keeper in the division, but he just beat promising fighters like Edmen Shahbazyan and Kevin Holland and his last lost was against Israel Adesanya. If he keeps on winning, no one could argue if he deserves a title shot.

As for the winner of this fight, he would likely fight the loser of Adesanya vs Vettori since no one could argue that Whittaker doesn’t deserve a title shot, heck many would agree that Whittaker deserves to fight for the title more than Vettori. It was just the timeline did not work for Whittaker to fight for a title shot.
