Venator FC 3 also featured two of the most controversial fighters in all of the sport. Jason “Mayhem” Miller, who missed weight by an astounding 24 pounds for his middleweight fight, and Rousimar Palhares. Both fighters lost to their respective opponents.
Sokoudjou was also once a promising star in MMA, in just his fourth fight, he defeated the Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at PRIDE 33. Unfortunately, he has failed to live up to the hype that was created by that stunning upset victory in his career.
A movie entitled “The Hammer” was made based on the life of Matt Hamill in 2010. It chronicles his early life and wrestling career, including the first of his three collegiate wrestling championships.
Matt Hamill has nothing left to prove in mixed martial arts. He has fought against elite competition in his MMA career, with bouts against Michael Bisping, Tito Ortiz, and Rampage Jackson, among others. He is also known for being the only man to put a blemish on the record of Jon “Bones” Jones, winning by disqualification in December of 2009.
