Watch: Frankie Edgar Crumbles Chad Mendes In The First Round

Wow! Frankie Edgar just put a serious whooping on Chad Mendes. You can bet Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo were watching….

It’s been a wild two days of awesome mixed martial arts action so far, and we aren’t even up to UFC 194 yet. Jose Aldo will face Conor McGregor in the highly anticipated main event, but there’s been some serious heavy hitting going down in the meantime.

Former Jose Aldo opponent’s Chad Mendes and Frankie Edgar tied them up at The Ultimate Fighter 22 finale, and it was one heck of a crazy finish. After Mendes lost by TKO to Conor McGregor at UFC 189 after a two week camp, many expected ‘Money’ to come back strong against Edgar.

With a full six week camp at Team Alpha Male heading in to he fight with Edgar on Friday December 11, few expected Mendes to be put away n the first round. Of course ‘The Answer’ is a former champion and ‘Money’ has been unsuccessful in the three UFC title shots he’s had, but was anyone expecting Edgar to finish so quickly?

The end came after just a few minutes, with Frankie making a serious statement. There’s no doubt he is next in line for a title shot after such a dominant win.
