The Mayweather vs McGregor fight rumor was initially started by Floyd Mayweather himself, who first indicated that he would earn $100 million for the fight and McGregor would earn $7 million. Since then Mayweather is reported to have upped the offer to $50 million but McGregor is steadfast that should the fight happen, he would have to earn $100 million also.
While Van Heerden believes that McGregor won’t be able to win the fight and may even be completely outclassed, for $100 million, there are few people in the world that wouldn’t step inside the ring for that kind of money.
To put it in perspective, McGregor would have to have 10 fights in the UFC, to come even close and that’s assuming a couple of losses doesn’t seriously deplete his drawing power.
