There’s a reason they call him ‘Semtex’…

Bellator 170 went down in Inglewood, California last night, and there’s some great fight video for you to watch today. Although the previous BMMA events have been a little cheesy, there’s clearly some new producing muscle in town.

Displaying far less theatrics, and much more fight action, it looks as though Bellator may have got their act together. Starting with the co-main event of the evening, we’ll briefly recap and watch the finishes from Bellator 170.

Paul Daley vs. Brennan Ward

UFC and Strikeforce veteran Paul Daley returned with a huge win last night. Facing the much younger betting favorite Brennan Ward, ‘Semtex’ scored a huge win. Ward would not make it out of the first round.

With fellow Brit Michael ‘Venom’ Page getting a lot of attention lately, Daley sent a message. Also competing at welterweight, there’s no doubt Page will have been watching this fight. Check out the harrowing KO from Daley at Bellator 170:

Tito’s Retirement Fight

Returning for the last time in his legendary career, Tito Ortiz faced fellow UFC veteran Chael Sonnen. It was the first time Sonnen had fought in years, and Ortiz took full advantage of the ring rust.
