The Man Who Got Conor McGregor Arrested for Smashing His Phone Has Spoken Out About What He Alleges Went Down…

Conor McGregor must be fuming. ‘The Notorious’ was involved in yet another unsavoury legal incident on Monday, when he was arrested for allegedly stealing and smashing a fan’s phone in Miami, Florida. He was charged with criminal mischief and strongarmed theft, before being released on a bond of $12,500.

The alleged incident took place outside of the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, home to the world-famous nightclub, Liv. It’s unknown whether or not McGregor was in attendance at the venue. He was arrested at a residence in the city later in the night.

Now 22-year old Ahmed Abdirzak has spoken out about the alleged incident. He’s insisting that he did not behave in a manner which was overzealous or inflammatory towards the former UFC champion. We’ll leave that for the court to decide.

Tricked

Abdirzak hails from London, UK and went into detail with TMZ about what he alleges happened in the early hours of the morning. You can tell he’s going to make a lot of money out of this. He said:

“We ended up at LIV on a Sunday. Blueface was there so we were just seeing what was popping. There were quite a few A-list celebrities over there, Birdman, Blueface, NFL and a few NBA players over there. So we see McGregor in the club and it was all cool or whatnot. On the way out, we were just waiting for our vehicle from the valet. As soon as we go pick it up, I see Conor McGregor.

So I tried to take out my little phone. As soon as I pull out my phone, McGregor comes and he tries to shake my hand. As soon as he went to shake my hand he pulled me in, grabbed my phone and started smashing it. All of his security guards literally surrounded me, pushed me out of the way. And he’s stomping on it, there’s a video that will be released soon.”

Rude

You know what they say: never meet your heroes. According to the Londoner, McGregor was obnoxious and controversial. Abdirzak said:

“He was being real rude like, ‘Get the f*ck out of my face, you don’t just do that.’ So I was like, ‘Sir can I have my phone back?’ And there was all of his security and entourage around him. I just kept asking if I can have my phone back. They were like, ‘Move man, move, you better listen to what Conor say.’

McGregor then picked up the phone and put it in his pocket, laughed and then he got in his SUV and they drove off. That’s when the hotel manager came. I got pictures of my son that I didn’t even save to my iCloud, so that’s what pisses me off the most. Those pictures I am probably not going to ever get again.”

Court

McGregor is due in court on April 10, according to the Florida State Attorney’s office. Michael Bisping made the point that the most annoying part of this for the Irishman is that all of these little things add up when you’re looking for a US work visa. Let’s not forget that there are two parts to every story. As Bisping also said, the guy could well have been annoying him and he just snapped. Time will tell.

It’s obviously not the first time McGregor has been arrested Stateside. He spent a night in prison last April after throwing a dolly through the window of a bus carrying Khabib Nurmagamedov and a whole bunch of other fighters at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York.
