WATCH: Fake Black Belt Exposed At Official UFC Gym

Wow, in an official UFC gym too…

Fake martial artists are very common now days. After the westernisation of Eastern arts in the 1960’s to present day, martial arts became a household activity. Especially in America, arts such as Karate, kickboxing and Judo became commonplace.

Following the practice of martial arts going global, we’ve seen an alarming number of fake schools opening up. Labelled ‘McDojo’s’ these phoney training academies are both a slur on martial arts and also criminal in nature.

Fake Black Belt Exposed

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu student Justin Farwell took a trip to an official UFC gym a while back. He wasn’t there to train, rather to expose one of the trainers working there. The instructor, a tubby gentleman named Jeremy, is teaching students BJJ and claiming he has a black belt in the grappling art.

After rolling with Justin Farwell for just 20 seconds, Jeremy claims to have hurt his ankle, screaming in agony. Farwell has seen enough, and calls out the pretender for his lies. Check out the first of today’s videos:

That Was Cringeworthy

Could it get any worse? Yes, much worse. Next we have the story of a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ‘black belt’ with a red stripe, who goes to a real black belt’s gym. In case you were wondering, this is a very bad idea.

The foundation of all martial arts is respect, moral fortitude and discipline. To earn a black belt in BJJ, a practitioner has to go through years and years of punishment. Learning the art is one thing, mastering it is something achieved by very few.

Ruben Alvarez BJJ Legend

Ruben Alvarez became a viral video a few years back when he invited a so called ‘black belt’ to roll with him. Rather foolishly, the fake martial artist showed up to Alvarez’s gym with a red stripe on his black belt.

This was a big mistake, and the heated confrontation proved very entertaining to watch. Alvarez trains out of Black House MMA in Miami, a gym notorious for producing high level champions.

Alvarez Is Furious

Ruben Alvarez did not show anywhere near as much patience as Justin Farwell. Probably because he’s done the graft to make it to black belt.

Anyway, here he is exposing this fake sack of spuds who wore a red stripe.
