Colby Covington Is Set to be Stripped of His Interim Belt as Soon as Darren Till and Tyron Woodley Step Into the Octagon… Michael Bisping Gave His Reaction… And it’s Hilarious…
Colby Covington discovered the hard way that it doesn’t matter how good you think you are, or how much trash you talk because, in the end, the UFC controls his destiny. Not him. He’s set to be stripped of his interim title as he has to undergo nasal surgery. Darren Till will get the title shot instead of him.
It is a bit harsh because he’s only set to be out for a month or so later than the UFC wanted. But the promotion is not prepared to wait. So they’re handing the shot to Till – a fighter who missed weight in his last appearance. That’s how it goes.
Anyway, Michael Bisping was asked to respond to Covington and Till’s change of circumstances. The brash Brit was typically blunt and pulled no punches, as you can see in the footage below.
Peak @bisping here as he reacts to @darrentill2's title shot and @colbycovmma being stripped. Better damn well watch this. pic.twitter.com/YOst2yAGDv

Break Down
In this wonderful interview, by MMAJunkie, Bisping gave an excellent preview of the Woodley v Till fight. If you’re hoping for a big action fight, you shouldn’t get too excited just yet. He said:
“Darren Till, first and foremost, good luck my friend. Go out there, represent England. But it’s got nothing to do with that. He’s doing it for himself, and I think he’s got a very good chance of winning this fight.
Tyron Woodley, of course, is an incredibly tough opponent. He’s a dominant champion and he’s great. He really is. All round. As is Darren. And ‘Wonderboy’… Till… very similar opponents. So I see the fight playing out very very similarly. And the Woodley/Wonderboy fights were close, I think this fight will be close too.”

Trumped
This is where it gets good. Let’s not forget that Bisping and Covington had a well-televised spat when the Count was sitting on the Fox Sports desk. Since then, they don’t like each other. Bisping didn’t hide his glee that ‘Chaos’ had his world destroyed. He said:
“The circumstances surrounding it… I always say interim titles aren’t worth the leather that they’re printed on, and this highlights it. That’s not disrespecting the UFC, they’re running a business and they’re doing what they got to do. That’s why I threw my belt on the floor against Robert Whittaker.
That’s why I told Colby Covington to take a long walk off a short pier when he talked s**t on that thing. Everyone was like ‘awh, he just won the belt. How can you talk s**t?’ I said ‘no he didn’t win the belt.’ He didn’t just win the belt. And here we go. Did he win the belt? Is he the champion right now? No! Colby Covington, good luck going to President Trump with empty hands. At least I’m holding a beer. What are you holding you dumb f**k?

Majestic
Once again, the Count proves what a legend he is. Honestly, can you think of another fighter whose profile has risen and fan base has actually grown after retirement? Because this seems to be the case with Bisping.
He says what everyone is thinking, and it’s an absolute breath of fresh air.
