Who said mixed martial arts is strictly an adults only affair? Turns out, kids can get in on the action too, and they can seriously throw down.

15-year-old MMA prodigy Anne “FM” Kleeman just knocked out her opponent, 25-year-old Dayna Kelly with one punch at Fusion Fight League — an all-female MMA event held last April 1st. And no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke.

Kleeman, who made her professional MMA debut, showed tremendous striking skill. After parrying a strike from Kelly, Kleeman stepped back and uncorked a vicious right hook. It was all she wrote as Kelly could no longer continue after that.

The fight proved that mixed martial arts is the purest combat sport in the world. It makes no difference what age, race or gender you are. What matters is the skills you possess in the cage. When it all comes down to it, it’s human versus human. When the cage door closes, two people battle it out until only one is declared the winner.

That’s the beauty of MMA and that’s the reason why a 15-year-old can beat a 25-year-old despite the age disparity.

Kleeman impressed with her knockout power, nevermind that she is just barely 15-years old. She still probably has a few years left in high school and you know how teens are. They have all that drama, all those teenage “problems” that they have to deal with.

Good thing is, at least Kleeman knows she can solve some of those problems with a well-placed fist to the face.

This isn’t the first time teenagers have competed in MMA and done well. Over in Asia, Singapore’s Angela Lee became the youngest world champion in MMA history when she won the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Championship at the tender age of 19.

Lee continues to be one of the hottest Asian MMA prospects today and still holds the belt. She makes the second defense of her title this May at home in Singapore. She is now 20-years old.

Her younger brother Christian also competes as a ONE Championship featherweight, making his professional MMA debut at 17.
