2. Ken Shamrock

Ken Shamrock is a pioneer of mixed martial arts. Starting at UFC 1, Shamrock was one of the most talked about fighters in the sport’s early days. He competed in both the UFC and Pancrase with much success.

In his first stint in mixed martial arts, Shamrock fought frequently and with much success. He would end up leaving the sport to wrestle professionally for the WWE between 1997 and mid 2000 however. By the time he returned the sport had passed him by.

Before he left for the WWE, Shamrock’s MMA record was 23W-5L-2D. After returning to the sport in 2000, Shamrock really struggled. His post-WWE record is 5W-12L.
