3. Tito Ortiz
When Zuffa bought the UFC in 2001, the most marketable name on the roster was Tito Ortiz. He was on all the posters, DVD cases, and all other promo material. He was the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy”, and arguably was the one putting people in seats.
The fall from grace for Tito, started after his second loss to Chuck Liddell at the end of 2006. Afterwards, Ortiz would embark on a losing streak that spanned almost five years. He managed to defeat Ryan Bader at UFC 132, but then kept losing after that. In all, Ortiz’s UFC career ended with him going 1W-7L-1D in his last 9 fights with the promotion.
Since moving to Bellator he is 2W-1L, with his next fight coming up against Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170.
