What was the point of the women’s featherweight division? It was meant to be all about Cris Cyborg, but the UFC found themselves stuck with Germaine De Randamie as champion after she controversially defeated Holly Holm, despite fouling her multiple times.
De Randamie then basically refused to defend her title against the scariest woman to ever walk the face of the earth. So the UFC basically had enough and stripped the Dutchwoman of her belt. She’s now set to fight Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title, so she might extraordinarily become a two-weight champion.
