Monique Bastos
A pair of thugs made a big mistake when he mistook 115lb pro-MMA fighter Monique Bastos for an easy target to mug on the streets of Acailanda, Brazil back in 2015.
Bastos and two female companions were headed to Jiu-Jitsu class one evening when two men pulled up alongside them on a motorcycle and demanded that they hand over their mobile phones.
The quick-thinking and fearless Bastos noticed the men were not armed and so when they tried to make their escape she sprang into action, lifting the rear wheel of their motorcycle, which caused them to fall off.
One of the men managed to get away, but the other received an instant dose of karma as Bastos caught him in a rear-naked choke and brought him to the ground, before then locking him up in a triangle choke until the police arrived.
A crowd gathered during the wait and the humiliated criminal was filmed weeping and calling for his mum and dad until he was finally arrested.
