Jorge Masvidal vs. Ray
In the early 2000’s before he was an MMA star, Jorge Masvidal made a name for himself in a big way fighting bare knuckle on the mean streets of Miami.
Masvidal was drafted into a fight against a protoge of bare-knuckle brawling sensation Kimbo Slice after ‘Ray’ had easily knocked out another opponent just minutes earlier.
It seemed as if ‘Gamebred’ was at a major disadvantage since Ray had a height and reach advantage, in addition to outweighing him by at least 30lbs, but Masvidal showed no fear.
Despite Ray’s reputation, it was Masvidal who was able to use his superior boxing skills and cardio to patiently pick apart the bigger man, dropping him at one stage, then eventually forcing him to quit.
Masvidal gained a lot of respect after the fight was uploaded to YouTube, but it wasn’t long before there was a demand for a rematch and so Masvidal again squared off against Ray in a backyard rematch.
Ir proved to be another gruelling battle, but ultimately with the same end result, with ‘Gamebred’ again dropping Ray to his knees during the fight before he gave up.
