Johny Hendricks vs Dakota Cochrane
In the space of just a few years Johnny Hendricks went from winning the welterweight title in 2014 to losing six of his next eight fights, while also missing weight multiple times and badly damaging his reputation in the process.
It seemed a sensible choice then when in late 2017 he announced his retirement from the sport, but just a year later he reemerged having taken the surprising decision to accept a bare knuckle boxing bout with Dakota Cochrane, a former Ultimate Fighter competitor who was best known for having once starred in gay pornographic movies.
This felt like a new low point in ‘Bigg Rigg’s’ career, but things only got worse for him in the actual fight itself at World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation 1.
In the opening minute he stepped into a right hand from Cochrane that opened up a cut on his cheek and it would be that same punch early in the second round that would rock Hendricks and sunk him to the canvas under fire, leading to a TKO stoppage victory for Cochrane.
