The pandemic has, as always, introduced its own adjustments to the schedule of matches and even the Olympics. We are currently looking at how the Brampton Cup 2022 will be postponed.
Brampton Cup statement
For precautionary reasons, the Brampton Cup 2022 has been postponed until late spring/early summer 2022. As one of the largest amateur tournaments in Canada, the safety of all athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and their families and communities is of paramount importance.
“Due to the current COVID-19 trend, we would like to announce that the 2022 Brampton Cup has been moved to late spring/early summer 2022. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the Brampton Cup stress-free, safe, and healthy.” – declare officials of the match.
As we can see from last year’s trends, organizers are hoping that infection rates will go down in the spring if everyone stays safe and vigilant. New dates will be announced in early January. The venue remains the same: Save Max Sports Centre (Brampton Soccer Centre), 1495 Sandalwood Pkwy E., Brampton.

NHL has rescheduled three more regular-season games
In addition to boxing, we would like to point out that the National Hockey League has also postponed three more regular-season games. This was due to restrictions on attendance at public events in certain Canadian cities because of the worsening epidemiological situation associated with the coronavirus. The games were rescheduled
- Montreal vs. New Jersey;
- Toronto vs. New Jersey;
- Edmonton vs. Chicago.
These games will take place when the restrictions are lifted or changed. This season, 98 regular-season games have already been postponed, which could not but affect the online sports betting VulkanBet.
Montreal is currently in 16th place in the Eastern Conference standings with 18 points from 34 games. New Jersey is 12th in the same conference with 31 points from 34 games. Toronto is in sixth place. Edmonton and Chicago are in the Western Conference. The Oilers are in eighth place, the Blackhawks in 14th.
World Cup 2022 could be re-launched in the summer
The 2022 World Cup was to be held in Canada from December 26 to January 5, but the tournament was canceled due to a coronavirus. Perhaps the tournament will be in June sometime in the summer. The MCHM will be in Canada. No confirmation yet whether it will be in Edmonton or another city.
Luke Tardif, President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), spoke about the plans to host the previously canceled 2022 World Youth Championship: “We have canceled the current tournament, but we will start working on organizing a new one in January”.
