Conor McGregor’s comments about Jesus may have gone too far, but this reaction from the craziest fighter ever is definitely over the top….
UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor is well known for popping off at the mouth in the media. The polarising star has been involved in many heated confrontations with opponents, but mostly with the champ Jose Aldo.
‘Scarface’ is McGregor’s next opponent, as the duo do battle for the unified 145-pound title at UFC 194 on December 12. The rivalry has been typically heated, with the originally scheduled UFC 189 fight featuring a drawn out world tour.
McGregor’s notorious aggravation towards his opponents doesn’t seem to have phased the Brazilian champion too much, although he has been ‘going easy’ on Aldo after he pulled out of their first scheduled fight with an injured rib.
But it isn’t only ‘Scarface’ that ‘The Notorious’ has been mouthing off about, as his recent comments were aimed at Jesus. No, seriously:
“Me versus Jesus in the Octagon? I tell you what, there’s not a man alive that can beat me,” McGregor said.
“But Jesus ain’t alive so I don’t fucking know, maybe he can come back from the dead, I don’t know. I’d still whoop his ass.”
Apparently not even the saviour himself is safe from being ‘whooped’ by McGregor, but his idea about Jesus have not gone unnoticed. This time, it’s a fighter who has never mentioned Conor McGregor before.
