There are 10 UFC fighters with the name “Silva”, but none of them have been tested more frequently than Anderson.
Anderson Silva has been tested 15 times by USADA in 2016, 3 more times than the 2nd most tested fighter. He’s fought twice this year, once in February against Michael Bisping in England, and again on very short notice at UFC 200.
The reason that Anderson has been tested at a higher rate than any other fighter may have to do with his failed test back at UFC 183. Silva famously claimed the failed test was due to a sexual aid he received from Thailand.
Perhaps USADA is interested in catching Silva using the same sexual aid again, perhaps they just like visiting his house, or perhaps they have a vendetta against the former middleweight champ. Whatever the reason however, it is clear they have Anderson Silva on a secret list of targeted fighters.
