2. Miesha Tate
The 2nd most tested fighter in 2016 has been Miesha Tate, who has been tested 12 times.
Some fans might be wondering why Tate has been tested 3 more times this year than Cyborg, who has been tested 9 times, but her testing frequency has nothing to do with suspicion. USADA has been testing fighters who are scheduled for big shows (UFC 200, UFC 205, any event with Conor involved) more than others, and Tate has been on every big show this year.
Tate won the women’s BW title at UFC 196 (Conor vs Nate 1), lost the title at UFC 200, and is now scheduled to fight at the UFC’s debut in MSG. When the UFC has a big show, they put Tate on it, and as a result Tate has been tested more.
She takes on Raquel Pennington at UFC 205.
