1. Rousimar Palhares

Rousimar Palhares’ career is over, although he might not be fully aware of that at this point. In 2013, after his 2nd incident of holding a submission after the referee stepped in, the UFC fired Palhares. He also failed a drug test in 2012, which UFC said contributed to his release. Dana White would later tell reporters Palhares was banned from UFC for life.

Palhares then signed with World Series of Fighting (WSOF). He immediately won the promotions’ welterweight championship. Unfortunately, he would again hold a submission on after the referee stepped in during a bout with Jake Shields in 2015.

He was handed a 2-year suspension by the NSAC, but has fought twice in Europe since then, losing each bout.
